What do Google, Paris Hilton and the telephone directory have in common?

How to judge a year in which “Paris Hilton” moved from the third place to the fourth place of the most used search words at Google in 2003? And what is so interesting about the term telephone directory (in 2004 at third place)?

On the one hand for the majority the Internet has become a reference, on the other hand the people in Germany search for their telephone directory in the internet and use a search engine to find it. For the average user of the Internet the search engine is more important than the browser. Worldwide Google is the most valuable trademark. Meanwhile people google instead of researching. There will also be no browser war, it is rather about the market share of Yahoo, Google and Microsoft – which means a chance for a good place in the list of results for all those who just want “to be found” in 2005.
